When Suzannah cries.....
When Suzannah cries, she cries rivers...
She cries over her lost dad, her ageing mum.
She cries over her scattered children
She cries over her lost love
And her spilled life....
Under the rubble
She has cried all the rivers...
She has cried the seas and the oceans
She has cried her tears dry.
And she sits on the pier
Listening to the lullaby
of the waves, rolling away
The ocean breeze gently brushes past her face
The shrill greeting of a screeching seagull
And a friendly wink of these little white houses clinging to the hillside.
Softly sing the power of Life.
